Felicia Van Stolk

Felicia Van Stolk is the current director of the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History. She is always looking for new ways to engage the natural history community and build new connections. To Felicia, a naturalist is someone who has an ongoing pursuit of observing and constructing their own understanding of the natural world. Be aware of how nature affects you and others.

Felicia believes we need to provide better support and mentorship for underrepresented groups to help address institutional and societal barriers. She also believes it is important to build comfort and happy memories outdoors. Felicia believes with enough time and support most people will become naturalists unintentionally through their own journey.
